With over 400,000 employees on a global scale and two sales levels that aren't even directly affiliated with the company, Bosch wanted a way to centralize the uploading of new assets as a way to keep the materials up-to-date and make it easier to get it out to Bosch's sales people. They also wanted the possibility to differentiate access to the different files so that the sales teams only have the relevant materials at hand.

And OmniShare was the perfect match for their needs.

In Bosch's solution, we also integrated an OAuth login system so that the users can log in with their Bosch Global ID

Centralized access

All content is made available offline and takes advantage of user-differentiated access, which synchronizes the necessary content to each user's device.

Bosch consists of three sales lines - their in-house salespeople, distributors of their products and installers.

Each of these sales divisions has different needs. That makes the possibility for differentiating access to different documents and sales materials very useful for Bosch's head office. In addition, Bosch also operates in different countries which makes language differentiation very helpful too.

Managing different users' access to specific materials as well as managing information from the main office and out into the sales divisions was exactly some of the issues that Bosch wanted to solve by implementing OmniShare.

Now it is easier to update all material including marketing presentations, sales videos, documents etc. centrally and make it available to precisely the people they want.

As an addition to the standard version of the OmniShare platform, we have integrated Bosch's own Global ID which every user of the app has to type in to get access.

Easy to find files

As a standard application, OmniShare has a search function which makes it easy to find files if you know what the file is named.

But as an addition to the Bosch solution, we have also integrated a filtering function so that you can find the desired material with just a few clicks and in a very few seconds if you don't know the file's name.

This spares salespeople a lot of time because they don't have to scroll through a ton of documents to get to what they need.

At meetings, trade fairs, etc. this function allows the salespeople to act fast so they don't waste potential customers' time either.

Bottom line is that this function is a winning solution for everyone.

Always up-to-date

With over 400,000 employees on a global scale and with three sales levels, most of whom are not employees, there are a lot of people that their material has to reach and a lot of people who have different needs for materials.

So when new material was made in the past, it was something that required a lot of resources to get out to people. But not with OmniShare.

As mentioned, it's easy to differentiate who has access to what. You just have to create different groups and then you can add users to the different groups.

To make sure that the material you're working with on the app is up to date, you have to click the synchronization button.

The 'Big brother' functionality, as it's called, allows leaders to see when an employee is not working with up-to-date materials within the app, and can easily target them with notifications for the user to synchronize their app, or if necessary force a synchronization directly to their device.

If they are working with limited internet or if there have been a lot of updates and they have to get to the file fast, they can use the parcel sync feature. The parcel sync feature allows users to choose exactly which segments of the app to synchronize.

Fully customized look

With over 5,000 users on Bosch's OmniShare app all around the world, the app needs to be viewed as a part of Bosch and not merely a 3rd party app.

OmniShare is made with a fully customizable frontend. That makes it possible to customize everything from the background and colours to the different icons used in the app.

This is super easy to do from the backend's user-friendly interface, which means that it can be done in-house.

To obtain the perfect look and feel, Bosch has customized everything that can be customized so that it fits its brand perfectly.
